all these avenues on which to communicate give one hope that individuals can help fashion a better collective.
i hope to be posting some writing, some pictures and experiences that will bring people joy, provoke comments and invite sharing.
i have two artistic projects i am currently conjuring...heh heh...
one is a visual retrospective of a collective art installation that a group of 23 artists worked on two years ago in september. each artist was given a wall to paint in the upper flat - mine, rented - of a 1912 victorian house that was subsequently torn down. we wanted to give the old manor a lot of collaborative colour before her meeting with the demolition man. all the original art went down with it.
the retro show will consist of huge photograghs of the 23 pieces, as well as new art from the original artists who decide to participate. all suggested donations will go to those left homeless in new orleans. i'm shooting for an early november date. will keep you posted.
the second project is a musical piece and it is taking shape as i type.
